Fortekor 5 mg (5-20 kg), 14 tablets prevents cardiac remodeling, cardiac fibrosis and myocyte hypertrophy in dogs and cats.

Through his action, Fortekor:

Prevents cardiac remodeling, cardiac fibrosis and myocyte hypertrophy
Reduces peripheral vasoconstriction
Prevents stimulation of the nervous system
Blocks the release of aldosterone.
Fortekor is available in packs of 14 palatable tablets, in a concentration of 5 mg Benazepril.

Contraindications:

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Do not use in case of hypotension, hypovolaemia, hyponatriaemia or acute renal failure.
Do not use in cases of insufficient cardiac output due to aortic or pulmonary stenosis.
Do not use during pregnancy or lactation.
Storage conditions: Do not store at temperatures higher than 25°C.
Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product packaged for sale: 3 years.
Shelf life of half tablets: 2 days.
Interaction with other medicinal products: In dogs with congestive heart failure, Fortekor Flavour 5 mg has been administered in combination with digoxin, diuretics, pimobendan and antiarrhythmic veterinary medicinal products, with no adverse interactions demonstrated.

Composition: Benazepril – 5 mg
Indications:

Dogs: Treatment of congestive heart failure.
Cats: Reduction of proteinuria associated with chronic kidney disease.
Dosage and method of administration:

Fortekor 5 mg should be taken orally once daily, with or without food. The duration of treatment is unlimited. The product is voluntarily accepted by most dogs and cats.
Dogs:

Fortekor 5 mg should be administered orally, in a minimum dose of 0.25 mg (between 0.25 – 0.5 mg) benazepril hydrochloride / kg body weight / day, according to the following regimen:

The dose may be doubled, with continued administration once daily, to a minimum dose of 0.5 mg/kg (0.5 – 1.0), if clinically considered necessary and recommended by the veterinarian.

Cats:

Fortekor 5 mg should be administered orally at a minimum dose of 0.5 mg (0.5 – 1.0) benazepril hydrochloride/kg body weight once daily according to the following regimen:
