PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC ACTION
Ivermectin stimulates the release of gamma aminobutyric acid at the level of neuronal synapses, acting as a neuroinhibitor and blocking the transmission of nerve impulses, causing paralysis and death of parasites.

INDICATIONS
Treatment of endoparasitis caused by nematodes (Trichocephalus spp., Toxocara spp., Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp., Dirofilaria spp.) and ectoparasitis caused by mites (Sarcoptes spp., Otodectes spp., Demodex spp.).
DOSAGE, ROUTE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Ivermectin is administered orally to dogs over 6 weeks old, as follows:
- in the treatment of endoparasitis caused by nematodes (Trichocephalus spp., Toxocara spp., Ancylostoma spp., Uncinaria spp., Dirofilaria spp. .) the recommended dose is 1 tablet / 10 kg body weight (0.3 mg ivermectin / kg body weight), 2 administrations at an interval of 10 days
- in the treatment of ectoparasitosis produced by mites (Sarcoptes spp., Otodectes spp., Demodex spp. .) the recommended dose is 1.5 tablets / 10 kg body weight (4.5 mg ivermectin / kg body weight), 3 administrations at an interval of 10 days
CONTRAINDICATIONS, PRECAUTIONS AND ADVERSE REACTIONS
Do not administer to dogs under 6 weeks of age. Due to the sensitivity shown to ivermectin, it is not administered to dogs of the Collie, Old English shepherds (and their crossbreeds) and American Cocker breeds. In general, the product is well tolerated and does not cause adverse reactions, provided the dosage is respected. There are no contraindications for administration in females during the breeding, gestation and lactation period.
Preliminary in vivo studies have shown that ivermectin can intensify the pharmacological action of diazepam. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular and central nervous system disorders may occur (anorexia, dehydration, weight loss, mydriasis, ataxia, depression, tremors, etc.).
