Internal pesticide recommended for dogs to treat infestation with worms (cestode) and cylindrical worms (nematodes). Cestal Plus chewable tablets for dogs Chewable oval chewable tablets, split into halves. One tablet contains: Active substances:Praziquantel: 50 mgPirantel embonate: 144.0 mgFenbendazole: 200 mg Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, wheat starch, povidone, talc, magnesium stearate, sodium glycolate, dry yeast, liver flavor. INDICATIONSCestal Plus is recommended in dogs for the treatment of infestation with worms (cestode) and cylindrical worms (nematodes), including:- ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult forms and immature forms)- strongil: Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Uncinaria stenocephala (adult form)- trichocephalidae: Trichuris vulpis (adults)- broad-leaved worms: Echinococcus spp., Taenia spp., Dipylidium caninum (adult forms and immature forms) CONTRAINDICATIONS In caectic animals, pirantel-based products should be administered with caution. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients. SIDE EFFECTSThe acute toxicity of the product is> 2000 mg / kg body weight. No clinical, haematological or biochemical adverse reactions were observed during animal product safety tests, even when the therapeutic doses were administered three times. No side effects were observed during clinical trials. If you notice any serious effects or other effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your veterinary surgeon. TARGET SPECIESdogs DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATIONThe product is administered orally in the following doses:1 tablet per 10 kg body weight, which corresponds to the following quantities of active substances: * praziquantel 5 mg / kg* pyrantel embonate 14.4 mg / kg* fenbendazole 20 mg / kg Dogs and small dogs:<2 kg g.c. = 1/4 tablet2-5 kg g.c. = 1/2 tablet5-10 kg g.c. = 1 tablet Meanwhile dogs:10-20 kg g.c. = 2 tablets20-30 kg g.c. = 3 tablets Large dogs:30-40 kg g.c. = 4 tablets40-50 kg g.c. = 5 tablets RECOMMENDATIONS ON CORRECT ADMINISTRATIONThe tablets can be taken directly into the mouth of the animal or mixed into food (a piece of meat, etc.) No prior diet is required. For general deworming treatment is sufficient, but in the case of a massive infestation it is recommended to repeat the dose after 14 days. Because of the risk of reinfection, treatment should be repeated every 3 months.
