COMPOSITION

1 ml contains: Dexamethasone sodium phosphate 2.64 mg 

Directions

In horses, cattle, goats, pigs, dogs:

- In non-infectious inflammatory processes, especially acute musculoskeletal inflammations, such as: arthritis, periarthritis, tendovaginitis, bursitis, dislocations, myositis, osteitis and sprains.

- As an adjunctive medication in acute infectious diseases in association with appropriate anti-infective therapy.

- In allergic conditions, such as: asthma, allergic skin conditions, snake bites.

- In metabolic disorders such as acetonemia (bovine ketosis)

- Induction of parturition in ruminants during the last period of gestation

- In the treatment of shock and stress conditions (circulatory collapse, anaphylactic shock, trauma), gestational toxemia.

DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION           

1. Local treatment

Horses: 2-10 mg dexamethasone or 1-5 ml DEXA-KEL 0.2 (intra-articular).

2. General treatment

Horses : Inflammation: 1-4 mg dexamethasone/100 kg gw or 0.5-2 ml DEXA-KEL 0.2/100 kg gw (intramuscular injection)

Cattle : Acetonemia: 2-4 mg dexamethasone/100 kg bw or 1-2 ml DEXA-KEL 0.2/100 kg bw (intramuscular injection).

Goats and pigs  : Gestational toxemia: 2-5 mg dexamethasone /10 kg bw or 1-2.5/ml DEXA-KEL 0.2 /10 kg bw (intramuscular injection).

Dog  :

   – Shock: 5 mg dexamethasone/kg bw or 2.5 ml DEXA-KEL 0.2/kg bw (intravenous injection)

   – Allergic reactions: 0.1 – 0.4 mg dexamethasone / kg body weight or 0.05 -0.2 ml DEXA-KEL 0.2 / kg body weight (intramuscular injection)

   – Cerebral edema: 2 mg dexamethasone /kg bw or 1 ml DEXA-KEL 0.2 /kg bw (intramuscular injection).

- Induction of parturition:

Cattle  : 4 mg dexamethasone/100 kg bw or 2 ml DEXA-KEL 0.2/100 kg bw (intramuscular injection).

Goats  : 2.4 mg dexamethasone /10 kg bw or 1.2 ml DEXA-KEL 0.2 /10 kg bw (intramuscular injection).

WAITING TIME

Horses, cattle, goats, pigs: meat and offal 14 days
