ECZEMTRAT (60 tablets) is an antiallergic recommended for dogs, cats, racing and ornamental pigeons in the treatment of allergic and inflammatory conditions (eczema, chronic liver failure, arthritis, otitis externa). It can also be used in the case of parasitic eczema, but only after antiparasitic treatment.

ACTIVE SUBSTANCES    

Dexamethasone 2 mg, Vitamin A 3500 IU, Vitamin B ₁ 7 mg, Vitamin C 5 mg, Methionine 100 mg.

Directions

The product is recommended for dogs, cats, racing and ornamental pigeons in the treatment of allergic and inflammatory conditions (eczema, chronic liver failure, arthritis, otitis externa). It can also be used in case of parasitic eczema, but only after antiparasitic treatment.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

In dogs and cats, it should not be administered to animals under 6 months of age, or during the vaccination period, as it has an immunosuppressive effect.

Do not administer to animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients.

DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

For oral administration. In dogs and cats, the tablets are administered incorporated, disguised in food (e.g. in meat), in a daily dose of 1 tablet/10 kg body weight, divided into two doses.

After 7 days of administration, the treatment is interrupted, taking a break of 15 days, after which the health status of the animals is reassessed.

Pigeons are administered 1 tablet/kg body weight/day, per beak, for 1-5 days.

In the case of various allergic or anti-inflammatory skin conditions, general treatment can be supplemented with local treatment to avoid the occurrence of superimposed infections.

CONTROINDICAZIONI

Nei cani e nei gatti non verrà somministrato ad animali di età inferiore a 6 mesi o durante il periodo di vaccinazione perché ha un effetto immunosoppressivo.

Non somministrare ad animali con ipersensibilità nota ai principi attivi o ad uno qualsiasi degli eccipienti.

REAZIONI AVVERSE

Aumento del consumo di acqua e mangime, diminuzione della resistenza alle infezioni virali o batteriche, vomito, diarrea, poliuria, ulcerazioni del tratto digestivo. Se notate reazioni gravi o altri effetti non menzionati in questo foglio illustrativo, informate il vostro veterinario.

POSOLOGIA PER CIASCUNA SPECIE, VIA E MODALITÀ DI SOMMINISTRAZIONE

Per somministrazione orale. Nel cane e nel gatto le compresse vengono somministrate incorporate, nascoste nel cibo (es. nella carne), nella dose giornaliera di 1 compressa/10 kg di peso corporeo, divisa in due metà.

Dopo 7 giorni dalla somministrazione si interrompe il trattamento, effettuando una pausa di 15 giorni, al termine della quale si rivaluta lo stato di salute degli animali.

Ai piccioni viene somministrata 1 compressa/kg di peso corporeo/giorno, per becco, per 1-5 giorni.

In caso di diverse condizioni allergiche o antinfiammatorie della pelle, il trattamento generale può essere integrato con un trattamento locale per evitare l'insorgenza di infezioni sovrapposte.
