COMPOSITION
One 250 mg tablet contains:
Methionine 200 mg / 250 mg
Excipients (lactose and magnesium stearate) per 250 mg
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
Methionine is an essential amino acid (thioamino acid), which can be used to lower (acidify) urinary pH, as an adjuvant or preventive treatment in urolithiasis in cats and dogs. It can also be used as a supplementary source of methionine in the correction of deficient dietary rations.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use in hepatic coma, hyperammonemia, severe hepatitis or encephalopathy.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Taking the product on an empty stomach may cause gastrointestinal upset.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
The product is administered to dogs and cats orally at a dose of 1 tablet/5 kg body weight (200 mg sa/5 kg body weight), 2 times a day, for 21 days in urinary lithiasis and 10 days as a hepatoprotector, without exceeding the dose of 8 tablets/animal/day, regardless of size.
Cautions
The product is administered after meals.

AZIONE FARMACOLOGICA
La metionina è un amminoacido essenziale (tioaminoacido), che può essere utilizzato per abbassare (acidificare) il pH urinario, come trattamento aggiuntivo o preventivo nell'urolitiasi nei cani e nei gatti. Può anche essere utilizzato come fonte aggiuntiva di metionina per correggere razioni carenti.

CONTROINDICAZIONI
Non utilizzare in coma epatico, iperammoniemia, epatite grave o encefalopatia.
REAZIONI AVVERSE
La somministrazione del prodotto a stomaco vuoto può provocare disturbi gastro-intestinali.
MODALITÀ DI AMMINISTRAZIONE
Il prodotto viene somministrato a cani e gatti per via orale nella dose di 1 compressa/5 kg di peso corporeo (200 mg sa/5 kg di peso corporeo), 2 volte al giorno, per 21 giorni nella litiasi urinaria e 10 giorni come epatoprotettore, senza superare la dose di 8 compresse/animale/giorno, indipendentemente dalla taglia.
Avvertenze
Il prodotto viene somministrato dopo un pasto.
